The Xtend CRF 15:2:20 fertiliser is a high-performance controlled release fertiliser designed to support strong, healthy turf growth. Using dual-technology formulation, it delivers a consistent supply of nutrient exactly when the plant needs it, helping turf maintain strength, density and colour throughout the season.
This unique blend combines temperature-primed release technology with inhibited nitrogen, creating a true controlled release pattern. The result is a quick initial response followed by an even release of nutrient over a three-month period. Its well-balanced analysis and high level of controlled release nitrogen mean that when it’s applied in autumn, the fertiliser slows right down over winter and then starts releasing again in spring. This helps support the turf through the colder months and gives it a boost as growth picks back up.
Engineered with environmental performance in mind, Xtend CRF 15:2:20 reduces the risk of nitrogen loss and improves overall nutrient efficiency. With its stable release profile and reliable granule behaviour in varying weather conditions, it offers a dependable choice for turf managers seeking consistent results with fewer applications.

Characteristics
Xtend CRF 15:2:20 delivers a true controlled release of nutrient using a combination of temperature-responsive coated granules and inhibited nitrogen. This provides a fast initial turf response followed by a steady release of nutrient for up to three months. The coating slows right down in colder conditions and becomes active again as temperatures rise, helping support turf through winter and into spring.
Protect Technology
ProTect is a temperature-released coating technology developed within the Origin group. It responds to the plant’s natural need for nitrogen, offering a consistent release pattern even during prolonged wet weather. Its flexible structure protects the nutrient core, helping improve nitrogen efficiency and ensuring reliable performance across changing conditions.
Inhibited Nitrogen
The nitrogen inhibitors used in Xtend CRF slow down the availability of nitrogen, extending the longevity of each application. This reduces the risk of volatilisation and denitrification and complements the ProTect coating to deliver a controlled, phased release over three months with improved environmental efficiency.
The Xtend range uses NBPT to limit nitrogen loss to the atmosphere and DCD to slow the conversion of ammonium to nitrate in the soil. This allows ammonium nitrogen to bind more effectively to clay and organic matter, supporting better nutrient retention and a more efficient release to the plant.

Inturf Classic is generally suitable for most applications. We do also have our RTF turf a durable and low maintenance turf and our Masters turf which is best suited for golf courses. We recommend discussing your specific needs with us for tailored advice.
For guidance on turf quantity, please provide us with the dimensions of the area you wish to turf, and we can assist in calculating your requirements.
Turf should ideally be laid as soon as possible after delivery, especially during the summer months (April to September), to ensure optimal freshness and health. If turf is left rolled up in the heat it can sustain turf heating.
Immediately after installation, turf should be watered thoroughly, both in the morning and evening, for approximately one hour each time, for a period of 28 days unless there is significant rainfall. Read our blog on ‘Watering newly laid turf’ for more information.
It is recommended to lay the turf as soon as it is delivered, particularly during warmer months, to prevent drying out and ensure successful establishment.
