Eligibility and Funding Categories
The fund caters to a broad spectrum of entities, including grassroots football clubs, leagues, charities, educational sites and local councils. Funding is categorised into ‘enhance’ or ‘sustain,’ determined by a PitchPower pitch inspection, a prerequisite for grant consideration.
PitchPower, an innovative web app, empowers users to self-assess pitches efficiently, providing Performance Quality Standards (PQS) and maintenance recommendations. It’s a game-changer in terms of time efficiency, ease of use, and ongoing pitch improvement advice.
Utilising PitchPower and Grant Allocation
PitchPower simplifies the inspection process, combining photographs, soil samples and user input. The resulting detailed assessment report, generated by grounds management experts at the GMA, serves as a guide for grant allocation. This grant can be utilised for various purposes, including contractor works (slitting, scarification, decompaction), materials (turf, seed, fertilisers), and equipment (such as a Soil Sampler). Inturf encourages all applicants to use PitchPower on all their pitches to ensure a seamless application process.
